Charleston is such a great city, offering many resources for both personal enrichment and professional success. Whatever you need to live well today, you can probably find in Charleston! It's large enough to offer diversity and a wealth of businesses, resources and hobbies to suit any need. It's small enough to be accessible and allow for a sense of community.

My husband and I made a very intentional decision to relocate to Charleston from Northern Virginia in December 2009 so that our family could enjoy the cultural and professional resources of a larger city while still raising our family in a smaller community. What a great move we made as we are in love with all that Charleston has to offer.

The women I've met have been very warm, welcoming and receptive - not to mention very impressive business women spanning a variety of professions. I've enjoyed expanding my professional network and meeting interesting and inspiring women who are leaders in so many different occupations and share my desire to really embrace each day and make the most of the opportunities offered in this fantastic city.

One of the things I look forward to most in growing FemCity Charleston is bringing together women with diverse backgrounds, skills and passions so that we can learn from and support each other and build a strong community. I've participated in many professional organizations over the years, and I'm particularly impressed that the Femfessionals organization strives to be more than just a networking group. Femfessionals events promote personal connections, learning opportunities and community involvement to help women create a well-rounded, balanced and rewarding life.

I am so excited to be affiliated with Femfessionals and look forward to expanding FemCity Charleston's network of positive, motivated and inspiring women. I see so many possibilities for helping each other grow, sharing new experiences together and giving back to our communities.
