Everyone Needs a Little Sparkle in their Life. I just Need a Little More.

When I first moved to Greenville 5 years ago I didn’t know a single person other than my husband. As he began medical residency which took over his life for 3 years, I struggled to find new friends.

Over the first year, I joined every group I could find- young professionals, old professionals, all professionals, non-professionals, even an adult hip hop class. I just wanted to find people like me.

As much as I looked, there just didn’t seem to be a fit. There are some fantastic groups out there, don’t get me wrong, but each one seemed to be missing a little something.

Flash forward to now and I struggle more than anything with trying to keep up with my relationships. I’ve been lucky enough to meet literally hundreds of fabulous women since I got to Greenville and now my biggest challenge is finding time to sit down with each of them to catch up on a regular basis.

Many of the women I’ve met would be a great connection for another woman, and I usually don’t have the means to connect the two unless it’s through a non-personal email introduction.

When the opportunity to start FemCity Greenville came along, it was an obvious choice. FemCity Greenville is the perfect opportunity to bring together all of the incredible women I’ve been lucky enough to meet across dozens of industries- in one room, once a month, to share our business accomplishments and failures- to share ideas and inspiration

I want this group to be a support system- whether you’ve been working at the same job for 20 years, or you’re looking to start your own business. Whether you need advice on how to deal with a crummy co-worker, or you simply need to know where to get your highlights done. This is going to be THE group to be in in Greenville- are you in?
