About Femfessionals

A Femfessional is a savvy business woman characterized as positive, open-minded, driven, professional, ambitious and desirous of forming strong strategic connections with similar minded professional women to benefit each other personally and professionally and to benefit their community. Not only is she motivated to succeed, she is passionate about the success of others around her. A Femfessional is giving of herself and more than willing to help when she is needed. She wants to make an impact in the world, starting with the betterment of her City, and grow as a business professional and a woman. She is quite remarkable!

Violette Sproul founded Femfessionals in Spring of 2009 as a side project to establish business contacts in Miami. At the time, it was simply an event planned with a group of colleagues and business women in Miami. Towards the end of 2009, the casual "Connection" events attracted more business women in neighboring cities and more women requested their own "Femfessionals" location in their community.

At the start of 2010, while discussing its development with Jessica Passman, an attorney she met at one of the first lunches and retained to assist with Femfessionals filings, a business partnership formed. In March of 2010, Femfessionals launched as an official company and for the remainder of the year the business developed, creating an organization that could easily expand into multiple cities within the US and eventually, Internationally.

The Femfessionals website launched in March of 2011, and they are currently in 31 US cities. Femfessionals seeks to launch an additional 50 locations in 2012 and their first International location. Femfessionals is capturing the eyes of many and the movement to create a community of women {globally}, committed to assisting other women in business, is flourishing. Violette and her team are launching a few new projects in 2012: "BUY FEMS", "The Pink Collar", "MiniFEMS" and recently launched www.myfemcity.com.

Violette served on the Board of Directors for CHARLEE Homes for Children, Mercy Hospital Foundation, Urban Environment League of Miami, Bayfront Park Management Trust, YWCA of Miami, and as a Board of Trustee Member for Dade Heritage Trust. She was also a Co-Founder for Friends of Marine Stadium and served as an Advisor to the City of Miami Mayor. Violette has been a part of The White House: Women Environmental Leaders in South Florida, a Panelist for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Leadership Event, received the Strong Women Strong Girls Spark 2012 Award and is a Girl Scout Centennial Leadership recipient.

Violette currently resides in Key Biscayne with her husband and their three children.
